The Royal Kitchen Garden at Gråsten Castle was earlier this summer inaugurated by Her Majesty the Queen and Princess Benedikte. Juliana Group had designed and produces a 100 garden frames, where half shall insure cultivating of crops in a prolonged season in the many beds.

The design duo BJØRN+BALLE have designed the garden frame and the royal sisters have actively taken part in the decisions on how the garden frames should look. So far nine has been put up in the kitchen garden. The rest will be used in the fall. The other half is to be used in other properties of The Agency for Culture and Palaces.

Besides being a new attraction in South Jutland, the kitchen garden is to be used as a part of the social psychiatric offer for exposed citizens in Sonderborg. The kitchen garden is defiantly worth a visit – and it is free.
