How to get started
Always have two people on hand for assembly
We recommend that two people assemble the greenhouse. The side panels need to be held, lifted and adjusted into place, and this requires an extra pair of hands to ensure a stable assembly.
This is particularly important when fitting the glass, as the glass must be handled with care and positioned correctly in the profiles. With two people, the work is both easier and safer.
Check all boxes before assembly
Go through all the boxes before you start the assembly. Check that all parts are present and that the profiles, fittings and other components match the installation instructions and the delivery note.
Also check that the glass is intact and free from visible damage. If anything is missing or damaged, this should be clarified before continuing with the installation.
The fittings box
In the fittings box, you will find the assembly instructions and the smaller parts needed to assemble the greenhouse. These may include screws, bolts, brackets, mouldings and other fittings.
We recommend that you start by opening the fittings box and going through the contents before beginning the assembly. This will give you a good overview of the parts and enable you to follow the assembly instructions from the start.
Installing the base
A correctly installed base plinth is essential to ensure that the greenhouse stands stable and level. Start by positioning the basem plinth in the desired location, and check all cross-measurements in accordance with the installation instructions to ensure that the base plinth is perfectly straight and level.
Once the base plinth is correctly positioned, secure it firmly in the ground by embedding the supplied anchor bars in 90 cm of concrete. Ensure that the base is stable and the concrete has set before assembling the greenhouse itself on top.
Follow the markings in the assembly instructions
When you follow the assembly instructions, all parts are marked with numbers or designations, making them easy to find and identify as you go along. Use these markings to identify which parts are required for each step.
This will give you a better overview of the assembly process and ensure that the correct parts are used at the right time.
Glass installation using silicone
When fitting glass, the glass must be carefully positioned in the profiles and fitted in accordance with the instructions in the fitting guide. The silicone is used to secure the glass and ensure a tight fit. Apply the silicone evenly and ensure that the glass is correctly positioned before securing it in place. Work calmly and precisely to ensure the glass is fitted securely and without any tension.
Final step – It’s the little details that make all the difference
Once the greenhouse has been assembled, it is the small details that complete the overall look. Nut covers provide a neat finish to visible joints, whilst the right greenhouse accessories can make everyday life in the greenhouse both easier and more practical.
